Stop Tolerating Loneliness, Try Online Dating

Now come on, can you honestly blame anyone for being skeptical when it comes to dating these days? With the increase in crime and the severity of the crimes being committed today, online dating is starting to look like a viable prospect for finding someone I can relate to.

Everyone will not have that Julia Roberts once-in-a-lifetime whirlwind love story and that is why we must take matter in our own hands! I have done my research and there are quite a few highly-rated websites that you can use to get your feet wet. Once you have decided what you are seeking in a companion, this can turn into big fun. Now mind you that online dating is not for every one and especially not for those that are unstable and overly romantic or possessive. It is also important that you are capable of accepting rejection gracefully, remember that everyone has the right to say no and to have their choice respected.

You absolutely must keep in mind that a great many of the people you will encounter will not be 100% honest with you and will be deceptive about certain details to increase interest. Normally if you are upfront and honest with them they will do the same with you however you do not want to interrogate anyone. If you take the time to listen carefully to what the person is saying, you will be able to determine their level of honesty for yourself.

Be aware that there are married people who engage in online dating and you should avoid them at all costs. How sound can a commitment be if it is made with someone breaking a commitment in which they are already involved?

Start out slow with the exchanging of photos and numbers, if get a negative response then you will know that it is time to politely end the relationship.

Another pitfall to online dating is the scammers, please be very careful for they are very smooth and can do a lot of damage very quickly. If the person seems to be perfect and has the perfect answer for everything... beware. Once I came to realization that there really are people in this world without a conscious, I became far more selective in regard to what I let in to my space. The old saying really does ring true that if it seems too good to be true, it normally is!
